I paid, but the levels are locked again

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase. The unlock is tied to your App Store account, not to a device, so it will come back on any device signed in to the same account. If it doesn't, email us with the date of purchase.

What does the purchase include?

Levels 1–20 and the coach through level 10 are free. The one-time purchase unlocks levels 21–60 and the coach at every level, permanently. There is no subscription and nothing else to buy.

Where is my progress stored?

On your device only — the app has no account system and never sends anything to a server. That also means progress does not sync between devices, and deleting the app deletes it. This is a deliberate trade for an app that collects nothing; see the privacy policy.

Can I change the language?

Yes — Settings → Language. The app is available in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語 and 한국어, and by default follows your device's language.

The opponent is too strong or too weak

Use the arrows on the Play screen to move a level at a time, or tap the level number to browse all 60. A good rule: move up one rung once you're winning comfortably. The levels are real steps, so jumping several at once tends to be discouraging.

What is tutor mode?

With the tutor on, you preview each move and confirm it — the coach reads the position before the stone goes down, warns you if the move loses something, and names the shape you're making. Turn it off from the Play screen for an ordinary, uninterrupted game.

Does it need an internet connection?

No, and it cannot use one. The lessons and the neural opponent are all bundled in the app and run on your device.

Reporting a wrong analysis or a bug

Go is subtle and the coach is not infallible. If a comment looks wrong, email us the level, the board size and roughly the move number — and a screenshot if you can. Those reports are genuinely useful and do get acted on.
